ISEF is a ministerial-level meeting to build support for global cooperation in space exploration. The Japanese government will be hosting the ISEF2 on March 3, 2018 in Tokyo. ISEF2 will bring together Ministers, high-level officials from space-faring and emerging-space countries, and the heads of space agencies to talk about the opportunities and challenges they share. It will feature high-level policy discussions about the future of space exploration and sustainable growth.
Through the Y-ISEF side event, the hosting organizations seek to raise awareness of space exploration, stimulate the participation of private sector in the space industry, and attract young people who will be playing an important role in the coming era.
Outline of Y-ISEF “ISEF for Young Professionals”

- Prospective participants: about 80 young professionals and students
- Age limit: between ages of 18 to 35
- Open to business people, students and professionals from any field of activity willing to make significant contribution to space sector
How to apply
The Ministry of the Economy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is willing to select up to two highly motivated candidates, who are likely to play a major role in the space sector of Luxembourg in the future, to represent Luxembourg at Y-ISEF.
The Ministry offers to cover the costs for two-way transportation (economy class), accommodations in Japan (up to an amount of 250EUR/a night) and provide a fixed daily allowance to contribute to subsistence cost of the selectee.
The registration is open until 18 October 2017 close of business.
