Europa Nostra, the leading heritage network in Europe, and the European Commission have recently launched the Call for Entries to the European Heritage Awards/Europa Nostra Awards 2020.

This is a unique chance for the selected winner projects to obtain a greater (inter)national exposure, increased visitor numbers on the heritage sites and follow-on funding.

What is ILUCIDARE?

ILUCIDARE is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme with the aim of establishing an international network promoting heritage as a resource for innovation and in international cooperation.

The European Heritage Awards/Europa Nostra Awards will contribute to ILUCIDARE by identifying, promoting and facilitating the upscaling of best practices in cultural heritage-led innovation and diplomacy.

Awards are given in four categories:

  • Conservation of cultural heritage
  • Innovative research
  • Dedicated Service of heritage professional and volunteers
  • Education, Training and Awareness-Raising initiatives

This prize is Europe’s top award for heritage and the winner will be celebrated at the European Heritage Awards Ceremony.
