On 21 January 2020, the agency hosted the two other project partners, Spanish science and technology park FundecytPCTEX and Romanian research organisation SC IPA SA, in Luxembourg in order to continue working on digitalisation programmes that help SMEs face their everyday challenges.
The objective of DigiJourney is to enable the participating innovation agencies to exchange knowledge, know-how and good practice on advanced methodologies and tools for the digitalisation assessment of SMEs and on customised support services. Digijourney stands for “Digital transformation journey for SMEs” and is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme “Enhancing the innovation capacity of SMEs”.
During the meeting, the partners studied Luxembourg initiatives aimed at helping SMEs with their digitalisation journey. They looked in particular at the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) and the Fit 4 Digital programme. The L-DIH supports the development of the data-driven economy in Luxembourg by helping companies find the right experts, advisors and IT solution providers in Luxembourg or other European countries who can support them with defining and succeeding with their digital transformation.
The Fit 4 Digital programme aims at improving the long-term performance of companies, increasing their total turnover and supporting their digitalisation.
The partners identified good practices from these tools, which will be included in the “Design Options Paper” that will be the final result of the Digijourney project. This document will be shared with other EU innovation agencies and networks, as well as with national and EU policy-makers.
The next meeting of the three partners will take place in Bucharest on 26 March.
