The Luxembourg EcoInnovation Cluster participated in this year’s World Efficiency Solutions exhibition in Paris from December 12-14.

The international event links public and private stakeholders who are committed to developing a low-carbon and resource-efficient economy with the largest number of active solutions providers. A unique network of cities and businesses from over 90 countries meets, presents projects, shares experiences and convinces investors, partners and customers to speed up the transition to a circular economy.

The EcoInnovation Cluster shared a joint booth with the meta-Cluster Greater Green at the Luxembourg booth of the Chamber of Commerce. The Luxembourg Minister for the Greater Region, Corinne Cahen, visited the booth and underlined that companies involved in the process of circular economy are companies that innovate. They save money on raw materials and therefore decrease recycling needs. In total, circular economy will create 600,000 jobs in the future.

To highlight the involvement of Luxembourg at World Efficiency Solutions 2017, a reception at the Embassy of Luxembourg in Paris was organised. Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the Minister for the Environment Carole Dieschbourg, the Luxembourg Ambassador Martine Schommer as well as Sabrina Sagramola from the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Laurence Sdika from Business Club France-Luxembourg (BCFL) participated in the reception.

Commenting on the event, Charles-Albert Florentin, Cluster Manager EcoInnovation at Luxinnovation, said that he believes in the success of World Efficiency Solutions and thinks that, “…the quality of participants and companies is of a very good standard”.
