On 20 November 2017, ILEA (Association of Luxembourgish Automotive Suppliers) in collaboration with AGORIA (Belgium‘s largest employers’ organisation and trade association) organised a B2B event in order to bring together innovative automotive suppliers from Belgium and Luxembourg. The Luxembourg AutoMobility Cluster, managed by Luxinnovation, was well represented.

The ILEA-AGORIA event brought together innovative automobility and automotive suppliers from Belgium and Luxembourg to discuss solutions to the key automotive challenge facing the industry today both locally and globally.

The Luxembourg AutoMobility Cluster was represented via the participation of many of its members.  These included, Accumalux (injection moulding for the automotive battery industry), CEBI (supplier to the automotive and electrodomestic industries), Delphi (global supplier of automotive technologies), Goodyear (tires), Raval (fuel management), SDAAC (Automotive Air-Conditioning System), IEE (leading producer of sensing solutions) and FANUC (robotics). The automotive industry is changing rapidly due to disruptive technologies and trends. The roster of attending companies demonstrates how various players with their different components and areas of expertise need to work together for better solutions in the areas of sustainable e-mobility, user experience and agility in development and production.

Also in attendance was Luxinnovation and List (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) because research is a critical factor in the innovating of tomorrow’s automobility solutions.

The event involved a half-day B2B technology workshop with a plenary session and 1-on-1 meetings to allow interaction with technology experts. Participating companies each had a B2B discussion desk that allowed for 1-on-1 meetings. The event was held at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and overall 12 companies from Luxembourg and 13 companies from Belgium took part.
