Jointly organised by all the clusters managed by Luxinnovation, this 3rd edition of Smart Manufacturing Week will open with a speech by Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot. The event will offer daily webinars during a whole week, each focusing on a specific topic:

  • European trends in the fields of robotics, AI and sustainability (Monday)
  • Smart manufacturing processes (Tuesday)
  • Smart value and supply chains (Wednesday)
  • Smart sustainability (Thursday)
  • Smart businesses (Friday).

“The aim of this week of webinars is to support the transformation and modernisation of companies in order to help them cope with the economic and health crisis,” indicates Caroline Muller, Manager of the Luxembourg Materials & Manufacturing Cluster. “The webinars will provide insight into European Commission orientations for the digitalisation and sustainability of the manufacturing sector and information on innovative digital technologies available in Luxembourg or the Greater Region.”

Matchmaking sessions

Sharing information and best practice will also be one of the common threads of this exceptional week, during which the topic of public aid available to support the industrial sector will also be addressed.

Matchmaking sessions will connect the supply and demand for products and services.

“Companies need to reinvent themselves to face the economic and health crisis,” completes Anthony Auert, Manager of the Luxembourg AutoMobility Cluster. “Innovative technologies are important tools supporting the digital transformation, and Luxembourg has the required skills for implementing this transformation. The week will showcase this in concrete terms and open up new perspectives for Luxembourg players.”

As a cross-sector event, Smart Manufacturing Week will address all companies from the automotive, cleantech, healthtech, creatives industries, ICT, materials & manufacturing and wood sectors.
